LUC Germany: Foundation of the Regional UNITECH Group Frankfurt

June 22nd: Hanau
As announced in the last digest, there is increased UNITECH activity in the Rhine-Main area, where you can find an interesting mix of students doing their internships, professionals and corporate partners. Many of them want to participate regularly in UNITECH events, but travelling to Aachen, where most meetings of the local chapter Germany take place, is often not possible. Therefore the idea was raised to establish a new platform of networking. We are now happy to announce that on June 22nd the Regional UNITECH Group Frankfurt was founded.
Thanks to the invitation of Evonik, we held a ceremony at their Oval Office in Hanau, where we got to know each other and discussed the main concept of this new initiative. Jan Reitz was selected to coordinate the group with the support of Janneke van Kilsdonk. We also agreed that the main principle of the group is that it is open to all UNITECHs. So whether you live here permanently, are here for a few weeks or just pass by just contact Jan Reitz at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will keep you updated on the next events.
Those who came to the first meeting were able to get a taste of local culture in the neighbouring city of Steinheim, a small town known for its picturesque little streets and framework houses directly at the Main River. We are looking forward to our next meeting end of July and to present our concept during the GA in Goteborg.
