UAA Council & STF Meeting, Aachen 2010
25 Feb 2010 in Alumni by Jona Hampe
February 19th-21th, 2010: Aachen
After the Winter Session, the Strategy Task Force met with the UAA council to present the result of the first phase of their work. The Strategy Task Force, or "STF", was formed last October with the objective to determine how the UAA can better serve its members. With this objective in mind, the "STF" has performed around 40 interviews with members of different stakeholder groups such as UAA members, Honorary Alumni, Corporate and Academic Partners as well as UNITECH Council and Office.
The purpose of the meeting was to determine an action program to increase the value that the UAA delivers to its members. The interviews performed by the "STF" showed that there were four major reasons for our members stay part of the network. These are:
- Professional networking
- UNITECH spirit
- Maintaining friendships
- Personal development
Based on the interviews, the "STF" were also able to determine four prioritized areas of action to improve the value that the UAA delivers to its members. These four areas of action are:
- Provide a platform to connect members
- Increase the content of our activities and services
- Share the knowledge that already exists in the network
- Increase the engagement of the Corporate and Academic Partners
The members of the "STF" have now returned to their respective countries with the task to determine how to practically implement these four areas of action. Our first step in this direction is to deliver a content driven summer session in Prague. We hope for your contribution and participation and will keep you informed.
